Cost and Fuel Savingscat6

Its All in the Chemistry ! The special formulation of SGD+ has:

  • low molecular weight esters that act as a solvent, cleaning the fuel injectors and lubricating the cool portion of the fuel feed system; and
  • high molecular weight esters that are stable during combustion form an efficient and tenacious lubricating film layer between the piston, rings and the cylinder walls that significantly reduces friction.

Gross saving in fuel consumption of up to 18% has been achieved in tests conducted on ferries and up to 12% in wharf equipment/machines and trucks.

The following Table provides an estimate of the fuel savings, cost savings and CO2 equivalence savings based on a conservative gross reduction in fuel consumption of 6%. This Table is only a guide.

Actual figures of fuel savings is equipment and organisation dependent.

PRICES AND TAXES

Diesel prices in Australia have about 50% of tax and freight component. Tax pressures linked to GHG may add upward pressure on diesel prices in the future.

GROSS FUEL SAVINGS

SGD+ has a proven track record in delivering fuel savings with reduction in maintenance cost. Gross savings can exceed 10%.

FERRY FUEL SAVINGS
ferry

SGD+ when used in ferries displayed significant reduction in fuel consumption, which is immediately noticeable.

The 2x 825kW, 6 cylinder direct injection diesel engines on each ferry are fed via service tanks. It is essential that SGD+ is added to bulk or service tanks, it is not ideal for individual vehicle tanks.
